The Flower Market is open everyday except Mondays in Nice France. It is usually open until about 1:00pm. Mondays there is an antique market in its place.
While the market is full of beautiful plants and bouquets of flowers, there is so much more as well.
Check out the unique tomatoes, in the photo above. The ones on the left that look pleated are incredibly delicious.
There are many booths of fresh fruit and vegetables, meats, and cheeses.
There is also a variety of spices available. I couldn’t resist a large bag of “Herbs de Provence,” which included rosemary, thyme, basil, and I’m not sure what else. But it smells and tastes delicious.
Candied fruits
Natural soaps
Nuts
And to top off all the goodness from the market, a live band.
The square that the market is located in is surrounded by little cafes. Through an archway and across the street from the market, is the beaches of Nice.
This is a great place to pick up a picnic lunch and walk across to the beach to enjoy the sun and the sea.
I want to taste those pleated tomatoes! I believe lavender is always an ingredient in herbs de provence.
Thanks for mentioned or lovely region Marche!
