We seem to discover something new everyday. This is an open market in the center of town. They set up every Thursday morning. There is a good variety of items such as clothes, shoes, nuts, fruits, veggies, leather goods, blankets, pottery, art supplies, etc. We had a great time strolling through and looking at everything. They even had macadamia nuts, which have been difficult to find, so I ended up getting a small bag. Summer found a belt and hat that she had been wanting. Since the market prices are much better than any store, she couldn’t resist.
What a great hillside town. Looks just like Cusco. I suspect you and Summer will have your own stall shortly!
How come fruit looks so much better near the ocean and out in the open like that?! Yum. I love open markets.
