There are several shops that carry huge assortments of beautifully decorated hand painted dishes.  Whenever I see them, I think of several members of my family that would go crazy for these dishes.  If I trusted these to survive through the mail, I would send them.  There are so many shapes and sizes and colors.  I am not normally into dishes, but even I recognize that these are pretty extraordinary.

I splurged on a few small dishes to use for tapas!  I couldn’t resist.

  1. The colors and patterns are a feast for the eyes. Thanks for all your interesting posts. I had so many to read since TDay vacation. I read them all and check out the links too. Hugs all around!

  2. The colors and patterns are beautiful. I can see why you would like to send some as gifts. They would be real festive to eat from. Thanks for sharing.

  3. Loved the dishes! My grandma had some hand painted dishes that were very colorful. Not quite like these, but she loved them. I was drying her last one as a little girl and she lamented that all the others had broken. And at that moment it slipped out of my hand and broke in half! We were both horrfied, and then we were both laughing. Grandma said it looked like I did it on purpose.

    1. Wow, what an awesome Grandma. She turned something that could have gone negative into a happy memory. I can learn from that example!

    1. I thought they were very reasonably priced, actually! Especially considering they are hand painted. The total for the dishes we bought was 11 euros.
