Aldeburgh Suffolk UK

Aldeburgh is about 90 miles north east of London on the North Sea coast.  It is a popular place for tourists during the summer.  A lot of people from London have second homes in this area.  And it is known for having the best fish and chips in the area.

The interesting old building in the photo above is Moot Hall.  It has been used for town council meetings for over 400 years.  The town clerks office is still in Moot Hall along with a local museum.

I do not know the history of this corner building, but it looked so interesting, I had to take a picture and include it in this post.

Fish & Chips Aldeburgh UK

We have had several people tell us that we must try the fish and chips in Aldeburgh.  But sadly it was closed during our visit.

We are loving England!  We can read signs and labels, and talk to people!  It is funny how much we appreciate this.  The English country side is beautiful.  And the people are lovely and expressive, and actually very funny.  Most everyone we have met has a great sense of humor.

We are looking forward to some English Christmas traditions too.  Tomorrow we will begin a series of 6 posts on Christmas in England.
