Flying over Cologne and western Germany

We were very fortunate to visit friends in Germany.  They have a private plane and invited us on a ride to view western Germany dressed for autumn.   What a special treat!  Summer stayed with her friend, but Dave, Luie, and I headed off for a new adventure.

Although the day was overcast, we were still able to see amazing views of cities, country side, and the Rhine river.  It was great flying with friends who could point out special places.

Notice the two towers of the Dom in Cologne.  Impressive from the air as well as up close.

It was a great way to spend an afternoon.  Although I did get a little queasy with motion sickness, I would not have wanted to miss this adventure.
